Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia shoot film in Bucharest in August

Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia will star in the independent film “What About Love” to be shot in Bucharest next month, with Castel Film to be involved in the film production, Bogdan Moncea, Castel Film marketing director, told Mediafax. The shooting for the Klaus Menzel-directed film will begin late this month in Romania, where most of the shooting will be made. The bulk of the scenes starring Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia will be filed at the Castel Film studios in Bucharest. Some portions of the film will also be shot in the country, with the Transfagarasean among the locations, Moncea also said. The production will carry on in Spain, from September onward. The Castel Film marketing director made the point that casting is underway for about 10 roles, of which two major ones, to be performed by Romanian actors. The majority of the people involved with the production process will be Romanian, Moncea also said. Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia play the role of the parents of a young American lady traveling through Europe with her Spanish lover, Miguel Angel Munoz, in this romance film.Sharon Stone was noted in “Total Recall” (1990) and became famous for her role in “Basic Instinct”, in 1992. She also received an Emmy Award for best actress in a drama TV series in 2004 as a special guest “The Practice”, as well as a Golden Globe in 1995, for her role in Martin Scorsese’s “Casino”, which brought her an Oscar nomination. Andy Garcia, an Oscar and Golden Globe nominee for his role as Vincent Mancini in “Godfather: Part 3”, also played in “Pink Panther 2”, “Beverly Hills Chihuahua“, “The Last Testament of Lucky Luciano”, “Ocean’s Thirteen”, “The Lost City” and “Modigliani”.
