EXCLUSIVE PRODUCTION: Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia will star in "What about Love" the most recent project of Klaus Menzel produced at Castel Film Studios

Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia will star in the independent film “What About Love” to be shot in Bucharest at Castel Film Studios.

The shooting for the Klaus Menzel-directed film will begin late this month in Romania, where most of the shooting will be made. The bulk of the scenes starring Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia will be filed at the Castel Film studios in Bucharest.

Synopsis:  Christian, a daredevil film student trying to win a documentary film contest and Tanner, a beautiful, young, aspiring, singer-songwritter meet in Spain. Trying to avoid returning to the United States and the life her Senator father has planned for her, Tanner agrees to help Christian win hos contest. Together, they cross Europe seeking and attempting to capture on film, the meaning of love.

As they succed, on a greater level then just in the film, an unfortunate accident leaves them both hospitalized. Tanner's parents arrive from their complex existance in Washington to deal with the situation and are forced to reevaluate their own lives in the process.

Sharon Stone was noted in “Total Recall” (1990) and became famous for her role in “Basic Instinct”, in 1992. She also received an Emmy Award for best actress in a drama TV series in 2004 as a special guest “The Practice”, as well as a Golden Globe in 1995, for her role in Martin Scorsese’s “Casino”, which brought her an Oscar nomination.

Andy Garcia, an Oscar and Golden Globe nominee for his role as Vincent Mancini in “Godfather: Part 3”, also played in “Pink Panther 2”, “Beverly Hills Chihuahua“, “The Last Testament of Lucky Luciano”, “Ocean’s Thirteen”, “The Lost City” and “Modigliani”.

The cast includes names like: José Coronado García is a Spanish film and television actor. He won several awards for his performance as the lead actor in the 2011 film No habrá paz para los malvados, including a Goya, a Sant Jordi Award, and a Fotogramas de Plata award.  Miguel Angel Munoz Spanish actor and singer, he performed the role of Roberto Arenales on the television series Un Paso Adelante and Marielle Jaffe made her feature film debut as Aphrodite Girl in the 2010 film, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. In April 2011, she was the supporting character Olivia Morris in the slasher film Scream 4.

Shooting in Romania will take the crew to some of most spectacular landscapes in the country including the Transfagarasan road, the top of the Carpathian mountains, Hunedoara Castle, the old town of Bucharest. Important sets are built on stage.
